Clients (the “Client”) receive an electronic copy of these Terms and Conditions, which are deemed accepted by the Client as an integral part of the agreement concluded between the parties. Translation Jet encourages the Client to read these terms and conditions carefully.<\/p>\n
The following terms and conditions apply to any of Translation Jet’s deliveries of services and products, especially in the form of AI-generated content, translations and professional proofreading (hereinafter referred to as “Content”), unless the terms and conditions have been specifically derogated from by express written agreement between the Client and Translation Jet (collectively referred to as “the Parties”).<\/p>\n
As quality, service and quick turnaround times are paramount, Translation Jet is free to decide which of Translation Jet’s employees, business partners, or subcontractors will work on the Content.<\/p>\n
The Client accepts that communication via email constitutes written documentation and that, for example, acceptance of quotations and invoices sent by email to the email address provided by the Client shall be deemed to have been delivered when sent.<\/p>\n
Agreements for Content delivery will commence through:<\/p>\n
The Client’s use of the “Order by Email” function on the website or by direct contact with Translation Jet. The Client specifies which service they need a quotation for (e.g. a complete website translation, post-edited AI translations, professional proofreading of AI Content).<\/p>\n
An agreement is deemed concluded when either:<\/p>\n
1) A written quotation from Translation Jet is accepted by the Client.<\/p>\n
2) The Client receives an email confirmation from Translation Jet confirming order receipt.<\/p>\n
Quotations expire after 30 days; hereafter the Client must reconfirm the offer with Translation Jet.<\/p>\n
Once the agreement is finalised, Translation Jet begins working on the Content. A right of cancellation is not offered. Translation Jet is entitled to payment as per the agreed-upon fee, irrespective of whether the Client terminates the agreement. In such cases, the Client will receive the completed part of the Content, if such a part exists.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet performs tasks with professionalism, ensuring optimal service and communication. The Client recognises that AI-generated Content, coupled with professional proofreading, can be done in various ways. It is thus crucial to establish clear expectations and consider our various services (e.g., Light Post Editing or Full Post Editing) before ordering and work on the Content is commenced.<\/p>\n
When submitting an assignment, the Client is obligated to give Translation Jet instructions, reference materials, term lists and any other pertinent information. Additionally, the Client should specify any particular requests or requirements concerning word choice, phrasing, context or technical specifications for the delivery format.<\/p>\n
Any objections to delivered Content must be raised within 14 days of the delivery date. After this period, the Content is deemed completed to the Client’s satisfaction and the Client cannot assert claims or withhold payment.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet is committed to delivering high-quality Content in alignment with the Client’s requirements and expectations (see Section 4). In cases of dissatisfaction, Translation Jet has the right to provide a remedy.<\/p>\n
These terms and conditions are subject to further customisation based on your specific business requirements, legal advice and regional regulations.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet always specifies the price in the quotation\/order confirmation sent to the Client. All prices are exclusive of VAT, taxes, fees and similar charges. Translation Jet retains the right to modify prices with advance notice.<\/p>\n
Invoicing is conducted at reasonable intervals, usually at the end of the month or promptly after Content delivery, based on the Client’s preference. The payment deadline is clearly specified on the invoice or as mutually agreed upon in the Client’s cooperation agreement with Translation Jet or outlined in the quotation.<\/p>\n
For added convenience, Clients also have the option to make payments via credit card upon receiving the delivered Content.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet is dedicated to complying with relevant legislation, including intellectual property law. As Translation Jet does not have access to verify ownership of intellectual property rights and copyrights to material, the Client assumes responsibility for the material submitted for translation or proofreading. Particularly AI-generated content can be challenging to validate and may contain factual errors for which we cannot assume responsibility. Therefore, the Client holds full responsibility for validating any content, especially if it has been partially generated with the assistance of AI.<\/p>\n
In cases of a claim of intellectual property rights infringement related to material sent by the Client, Translation Jet is entitled to assert a claim for damages against the Client in accordance with the currently applicable legal principles under Danish law.<\/p>\n
The Client is granted necessary rights to use the Content to a reasonable extent. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights to the Content remain the property of Translation Jet. The Client may not share completed Content with other parties for reproduction without authorisation.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet undertakes to deliver the Content at the agreed-upon time. However, Translation Jet reserves the right to make reservations for unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, death, sudden emergencies, force majeure or similar, which may cause delays.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet is not liable for consequences of delays due to issues with the material delivered by the Client, including problems with the receipt or decoding of Content sent via digital solutions such as email.<\/p>\n
Monetary liability is limited to an amount corresponding to Translation Jet’s fee (excluding VAT) for the relevant Content. Translation Jet is not liable for indirect losses and consequential damages (e.g. printing and distribution costs, loss of time, resources, profit, data, reputation, etc.).<\/p>\n
Translation Jet places a strong emphasis on the importance of trust and confidentiality. All information concerning the Client, whether received or generated, is handled with utmost confidentiality and aligns with the duty of discretion and broader legal principles governing personal data processing.<\/p>\n
We strictly refrain from disclosing confidential information to third parties unless it is deemed necessary for the completion of work or mandated by legal requirements. Our approach to handling Client data adheres to applicable data protection laws, and we implement comprehensive measures to safeguard all recorded information.<\/p>\n
These provisions offer a unique perspective while encompassing the fundamental elements of terms and conditions. Tailoring can be undertaken to align with the specific requirements of your business and legal considerations.<\/p>\n
Translation Jet has implemented comprehensive measures to safeguard all recorded data, encompassing both the Client’s data and personal information, as well as other confidential details. All servers storing the Client’s Content are encrypted, ensuring a secure environment, and none of this data is shared with third parties. Additionally, all project managers and translators working with Translation Jet are required to sign a declaration of confidentiality. However, certain personal data such as name, address, VAT number, telephone number and email may be shared with Translation Jet’s business partners or subcontractors to the extent necessary for delivering the agreed-upon Content.<\/p>\n
